Contest story “Circle of Life“ submitted

I just submitted my entry for Renderosity’s annual Holiday Contest.

The theme for this year’s contest is Lost Holiday Toys.

As you know, I wrote this week a sweet little story for it and did yesterday a thumbnail image for the entry.

I named the story “Circle of Life,” and the word count is 993.

To not spoil your reading experience, I will not tell you anything about it in advance, so just take a look at it and the other entries.

All I can hope for is that you like my story enough to vote for me as soon as voting starts on December 19 at 10:00 am CT.

In any case, you deserve my thanks already for just reading it, and as usual, you are free to contact me about anything you want to tell me.

Sincerely yours,
AbyssalEros

Working on another writing contest story – Update

Yesterday, as planned, I finished the translation of the new contest story, remaining shortly under one thousand words. I also managed the first run of proofreading too.

I have given the story for additional proofreading to my two muses; the English one to Farra Triss and the German one to my girlfriend.

I expect both of them to finish tomorrow.

Normally, I am game-mastering every second Friday our roleplaying evening; however, tomorrow evening, it might be called off.
If that happens, I will make the final changes after my regular office day and submit the story at the contest.
If I am out tomorrow to harass my players with monsters and villains, I will do it on Saturday.

This time it is allowed to do promotion; therefore, I will tell you more as soon as I have submitted my story at the contest.

Sincerely yours,
AbyssalEros

Working on another writing contest story

The last two evenings, I wrote a short little story for a contest. In fact, I only spent Monday evening on it, while yesterday, I did the proofreading and made some minor adjustments.

Naturally, I wrote the story, which still has no name, in my native language. At the moment, it counts 998 words in German.

This evening I will translate the story into English.

Wish me luck that I will still be under the allowed word count of one thousand words after finishing the translation. If I exceed it, I need to rephrase a bit; if I am far under the word count, I have already some passages I would like to add.

Aside of that word count issue, I expect to finish the story tomorrow evening with proofreading.

I will keep you informed.

Sincerely yours,
AbyssalEros
